Happy New Year's Eve everyone. Well to say goodbye to the year 2009 we at Leet and Luscious have decided to give you all a top video game of 1989, two from 1999 and three from the last year. This is my list (Stacy) with one to follow from Katie at some point.
So without further ado my picks for the year 1989, 1999 and 2009.

1989 was an easy choice for me, Tetris was released in this year. So being a huge fan of the game it was highly appropriate that it was my first pick. Tetris is a game that I first played many years ago. I was always a fan of puzzle games and this game was a ever changing puzzle to me. Now 20 years later the game is immortalized. It is a game that cannot be left off of a list of the best games ever created.
1999 was a year when I loved video games. Gameboy and Nintendo 64 were my favorite systems and these were at the time two of my favorite games and remain two of my favorites today 10 years later.

One cannot forget this game. For a person who grew up in this generation Pokemon is an essential staple game that people still play today. The pair of Gold and Silver were games essentially like the first pair of Red and Blue, but with new places, people, gear and Pokemon. A game that I still play today For me one of the greatest games released in the year 1999.

My other pick is Super Smash Bros. The game that started a great series of games. I also play this one today and I love the old set up of this game, it is fast paced simple and there are so few characters that no one really overlaps with other characters like we can see in the latest game Super Smash Bros Brawl.
2009, a year when I came back to video games, not too many new ones so it was a bit chalenging for me but I came up with three that I like.

Yes I chose a re-release game as one of my top picks. Actually it is a re-release of three games. All of them spectacular in one package. The best part is that with this release two were improved upon by using the new wii pointer controls that were used in Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. This is why it earns a spot on my list. I loved the first two games, but the controls, especially for the view were difficult to say the least. I was extremely happy with the third game, and found myself wishing that the first two were the same. Now that is a reality and I couldn't be happier.

Crayon Physics deluxe is a game I came across quite randomly. Another type of game that I love, the physics engine. That's all this is get the little red ball to the star by using crayon drawings. Cute, fun and quite entertaining.

My final pick for the last year is The new Super Mario Bros. This game is multi-player side-scrolling back to the old days of Super Mario. But with new suits. I warn you now the bubble may seem like fun, but when you lose because everyone is in it at once you will regret loving the bubble as much as you did. My friends and I learned that lesson the hard way.
I wish you all a Happy New Year.
